Deep Tissue Massage targets specific issues and aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries.

Myofascial Therapy (MFT) is an advanced massage technique used to break up adhesions or scar tissue in muscles due to chronic injuries or trauma. MFT is extremely helpful when muscles are too tight to allow proper movements as it helps to lengthen muscle fibers and restore proper range of motion in joints.

Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing trigger points in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension that occur in the belly of the muscle tissue and, when pressed on, refer pain elsewhere. These “knots” are built up throughout a person’s life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress.

Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for highly active people who range from weekend warriors to professional athletes. Sports massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pain and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. Sports Massage is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness and in turn promoting the body’s natural immune function.

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with a variety of strokes including gliding, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation and release toxins. The benefits include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, greater flexibility and an overall sense of well-being.

Shiatsu Massage is a Japanese form of massage. The word Shiatsu comes from two Japanese words – “shi” (finger) and “atsu” (pressure). It combines the direct stimulation of pressure points along with gentle stretching to encourage the flow of Qi (energy) throughout the body. Shiatsu is a meditative healing art that honors the body, mind and spirit. It helps to balance the whole body and is relaxing and energizing at the same time. This massage is received fully clothed. Please wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to stretch in.

Acupressure is a form of energetic bodywork similar to acupuncture, but performed with the hands, versus needles. The aim of acupressure is to stimulate the pressure points in the body to help balance the flow of energy (Qi). The results are therapeutic and energizing. It can be combined with any other sessions or be a session on its own.

I was born in Santa Barbara, California. I attended university in the state of Washington and in Australia. After living, studying, working and travelling in Asia for seven years, I returned to the United States attending Palmer College of Chiropractic West, receiving my Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree.

What I find most rewarding about chiropractic is seeing the transformation of people’s health, returning to the activities and lifestyle that they love.
