Chiropractic Services

Chiropractors are doctors of the central nervous system. Your central nervous system (brain, spinal cord and spinal nerves) is responsible for controlling every organ, muscle, tissue and cell in your body.

Chiropractic is a whole body approach to health that targets the cause of the problem, rather than just the symptoms. Regular chiropractic care, along with massage, good nutrition, stress management and sufficient exercise can help one become and remain a healthy human being.

Chiropractic doesn’t add or remove anything from your body. It is a pure approach to health care, an inside out approach that allows the body to heal itself, without the invasive use of drugs or surgery. While there does exist a need for these in health care, I believe that the body has all the ability in the world to heal itself. What doctors do, whether they be of chiropractic or medicine, is search for obstruction in the body and remove it. Chiropractic achieves this through very gentle, specific adjustments, removing the obstruction to your nervous system, allowing your body to function normally again.

As with any kind of health care, there are many different types of chiropractic care. At Harris Family Chiropractic & Massage, we focus on Corrective Chiropractic care, meaning that the goal is to fix the cause of your problems, allowing your body to function to the best of its ability. We not only treat your spine but also your upper extremities (shoulders, arms, elbows, forearms, wrists, hands and fingers) and lower extremities (hips, thighs, knees, legs, ankles, feet and toes) as needed.

Initial treatment sessions focus on your symptoms. From that point on, the goal is fixing the cause of the underlying problems, through what we call the Corrective, Rehabilitative and Strengthening/Stabilizing phase of your care. Every patient’s needs are unique and we formulate a plan to get your body back to optimum health.
